Is there a junior PGA Tour? ›

The Southern California PGA Junior Tour's mission is to create learning and playing opportunities for individuals of all ages and skill levels throughout Southern California.

East Lake Golf Club has been the permanent home of the TOUR Championship since 2005.

Each year, the U.S. Kids Golf World Championships welcomes golfers ages 5-12 to championship courses in the Pinehurst area. These courses, this event, and the community of Pinehurst come together to produce the world's largest junior golf tournament, which provides a stage for golf's next generation of stars to shine.

The name "LIV" refers to the Roman numerals for 54, the number of holes played at LIV events. The first LIV Golf Invitational Series event started on 9 June 2022, at the Centurion Club near St Albans in Hertfordshire, UK. The Invitational Series became the LIV Golf League in 2023.

Junior golf refers to the game of golf being played by boys and girls who have not finished secondary school or reached the age of 19, whichever comes first. More specifically, any person falling under the above definition who has played at least one round of golf in a given year is a junior golfer.

Tiger Woods qualified for his first U.S. Junior Amateur championship when he was 14 and reached the semifinals. He came back and won the tournament the next year when he was 15 in 1991. It started a streak of three straight U.S. Junior Amateur championships before he moved on to professional golf.

As part of the Championship's mission to grow interest and participation in the game of golf, juniors 15 years of age and younger will be admitted into the Championship grounds for free when accompanied by a ticketed adult.

In order to enjoy the perks of swinging a club on one of the most beautiful golf courses in the south, you will need to fork out $125,000 for the membership fee. It is also heavily, ahem, suggested that you make a donation of $200,000 to the East Lake Foundation.

How many junior golfers are there in the US? ›

The net gain of almost 1 million juniors (ages 6-17) is the most significant of any on-course participation segment. At just over 3.4 million in total, the youth golfer pool is now at its highest level since 2006, just prior to the Great Recession. Juniors account for about 13% of the on-course golfer population.

Championship Format

Players must be eighteen (18) years of age or younger on the final day of the Championship (August 2, 2024). Players must be amateurs as defined by the USGA and may not be full-time college students.

PGA Jr. League is split into two age divisions: 13u and 17u. In 13u programs, the minimum age is determined by the facility. Kids as young as 6 years old have played on a 13u team, but we encourage you to reach out to your PGA Coach prior to registration to confirm their program's age minimums.

Players below the age of 18 may qualify for a PGA TOUR Americas tournament; however, they will only become eligible for membership upon their 18th birthday.
