Qualifications
Required:
- 3-5 years of Research Administration experience
- Interpersonalskills to effectively communicate information in a timely, professional mannerand establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships withstudents, staff, faculty, external collaborators and administration and to workas a member of a team.
- Abilityto set priorities and complete ongoing tasks with competing deadlines, withfrequent interruptions, to meet the programmatic and financial needs of PIs andthe department, while complying with University and funding agency policies andregulations.
- Analyticalskills to assess financial information, define problems, formulate logicalsolutions, develop alternative solutions, make recommendations, and initiatecorrective actions
- Closeattention to detail to ensure accuracy in a fast-paced, fluctuating workloadenvironment
- Organizationskills to create and maintain administrative and financial files effectively aswell as independently balance the various tasks to ensure deadlines are met
- Demonstratedproficiency with Adobe and Microsoft suite software, especially Excel, toperform daily tasks efficiently and accurately
- Strongwriting skills in a variety of styles to draft persuasive text for a variety ofaudiences while ensuring adherence to funding sponsor's guidelines
- Demonstratedknowledge of effective grant funding processes, procedures and techniques
- Ability to performcomplex financial analysis and customized reporting.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree inFinance/administration or experience equivalent

Description
Under the general direction of the DivisionAdministrator, Financial Affairs Manager, and other Department leaders and inconcert with other research administrative staff, the Senior Fund Manager /Training Grant Coordinator will be responsible for all phases of pre- andpost-award administration for intra/extramurally funded research awards forDepartmental Principal Investigators. In this role, you will analyze problems /issues of diverse scope and determines solutions; work on complex proposalssuch as grants / contracts which require task budgets, option years, multipleinvestigators and multiple sub awards. Additionally, you will organize, plan,establish and monitor fiscal budget control of contracts and grantsadministration, gifts, endowments, and privately funded projects for facultyresearch programs. Provide guidance and counsel on complex researchadministration matters, including compliance regulations, to principalinvestigators and department administrators.
Salary offers are determined based on various factors including,but not limited to, qualifications, experience, and equity. UCLA Health annualsalary range for this position is $68,800.00 - $141,000.00.
