Three is the Perfect Number (Short story) - IV (2024)

3It has been a year and life has changed significantly for the couple. Beyoncé, Kelly, and Michelle now weren't just together as girlfriends, they were now unified as one in marriage. Beyoncé planned an extraordinary proposal for the both of them which had Kelly and Michelle in tears as they accepted the proposal and began to start their new lives together.

They had originally planned to invite their families but there were some problems. First, Michelle's parents being the extremely religious parents they are obviously weren't going to even entertain the thought of her being in a polygamous marriage. Beyoncé's parents haven't talked to her since she was 22 because of her coming out but she was able to connect to her mother since she and her father divorced. Thankfully, they are on the way to rebuilding their relationship, and as for her father, he was going to stay where he was at- away from her.

Kelly's mother died sadly a few years ago and she never met her father so that was her situation with her parents. Beyoncé and Kelly didn't take that too hard, it was just their circ*mstances. Michelle did struggle with the loss of connection with her parents more so than anything. For her mental health, Beyoncé and Kelly decided they would get legally married privately first and then have a small ceremony later.

The marriage ceremony was on the beach, in the same place that Beyoncé proposed to the other girls. As a surprise to the couple, Michelle's parents did show up along with her older brother. Kelly had sent an invite to them, hoping they would come and they thankfully did. They reconciled and while it will take some time, Michelle is just glad to have her immediate family back in her life. Beyoncé's mother and younger sister, Solange also attended. To Beyonce's mother, Kelly was already family so Kelly didn't feel alone.

After the wedding, Beyoncé surprised Kelly and Michelle with the honeymoon trip to the place they have dreamed of going to: Italy.

Kelly and Michelle could not stop talking about all of the fun things they were going to do on their honeymoon. They planned to visit Rome, Florence, and Venice and do all the tourist things like visit the Colosseum, Castel Sant'Angelo, and Sistine Chapel. Beyoncé was most excited about the food. She planned to try every single pasta dish she could. They would be there for two weeks. When Kelly travels, she likes to do every tourist thing she can. However, Michelle likes to sleep when they travel. Beyoncé made sure the itinerary included plenty of tourist spots and plenty of rest. She was excited to do stuff too such as learn how to make pasta the Italian way, Kelly and Michelle, take exciting pictures, and go wine tasting in Tuscany. Once they landed, she wanted to do the first thing on her list which was Kelly and Michelle, so they went to their hotel to unpack their luggage.

"Kelly! Beyoncé! Can you believe that we are in Italy?" Michelle asked. She was so excited. Their hotel room was beautiful. They had already unpacked and took showers. Michelle made them take one together. Not like Kelly or Beyoncé were going to object.

"Yes!" Kelly nodded. She felt this overwhelming need to cry, so she did. Tears rolled down her cheeks."I'm just so happy!" She sobbed. Michelle and Beyoncé were both at her side. Michelle was rubbing her back while she was crying onto Beyoncé. They were calming her down. Lately, Kelly has been so emotional. She managed to calm all the way down and Michelle gave her some tissues.

"I love you," Michelle said softly, giving Kelly angel kisses.

"I love you too." Kelly pecked Michelle's lips. She looked at Beyoncé. "And I love you." She pecked Beyoncé's lips.

"I love you too." Beyoncé wrapped one arm around Michelle as she kissed Kelly's forehead then Michelle's. "I love you."

Michelle wrapped her arms around Beyoncé and Kelly. "I love you too!" The couple hugged each other, sharing kisses, whispering words of affirmation, and touching each other. Eventually, they moved to the couch. Michelle was sitting beside Beyoncé. Kelly was sitting on Beyoncé's lap. Well, Michelle's and Beyoncé's because they were sitting so close that she couldn't tell.
