Twisters is taking the box office by storm (pun very much intended) after a notable opening weekend, having grossed over $120 million globally so far.
As the movie continues to impress in cinemas, becoming one of the summer's biggest hits, here's when the movie is expected to land in digital and streaming platforms.
This standalone sequel to 1996's classic Twister follows former storm chaser Kate Cooper (Daisy Edgar-Jones) as she is dragged back to the fields of Tornado Alley five years after a traumatic event. Alongside her friend Javi (Anthony Ramos), Kate reconnects with her otherworldly intuition to predict the weather, as she crosses paths with reckless social media superstar Tyler Owens (Glen Powell).
Can't wait to see what happens? This is how you can watch Twisters right now.
How to watch Twisters right now
Twisters is now out in cinemas, following its release in the UK on July 17 and in the US on July 19.
At the moment, making a trip to the cinema is the only way to watch the movie, and we recommend you do it. In fact, if you've ever wondered what it's like to watch a movie in 4DX, Twisters might be the best option to finally try it out.
If you want to see it on the big screen without spending a fortune, make sure to check our guides to get cheaper cinema tickets in the UK, including cheap tickets at Odeon and cheap tickets at Vue.
If you prefer to wait until the movie is available to watch at home, you probably won't have to wait that long.

Universal Pictures (distributor in the US) usually waits at least 19 days after its cinema release to allow the movie to be purchased digitally. There have been even shorter windows (Abigail was released on April 19 and was available digitally on May 7 in the US), but also longer (Despicable Me 4 has confirmed a digital release on August 6 following its release on July 3).
That would mean Twisters could be able to rent or buy digitally as early as August 7, but it might take longer than that since the movie is performing well in cinemas.
Warner Bros (which is the movie's international distributor, including in the UK) usually takes 45 days to land a digital release, as with the recent case of Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (it took 46 days from its cinema release on March 29 to its digital release on May 13). However, exceptions like Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, which only took 37 days, make it tricky to accurately predict a date.
Based on these examples, Twisters could land a digital release in the UK in early September.
Is Twisters available to stream?
Twisters is not available on streaming yet.
Since the movie is being distributed by Universal in the US, it will land an exclusive streaming release on Peaco*ck. One of the distributor's latest movies, Monkey Man, took 70 days from its cinema release (April 5) to its streaming debut (June 14).
If Twisters follows this rule, the movie could be available to stream on Peaco*ck by the end of September.
Out of the US and Canada, the movie is distributed by Warner Bros, which means it will have a streaming release on Max. Since the platform has yet to launch in the UK, Twisters' first streaming platform in the UK will be Sky Cinema and NOW.

As for the date, it's hard to say at this point. Barbie took almost nine months to arrive on Sky Cinema, so we might have to wait until 2025 for Twisters on streaming in the UK.
